Greedo was a pansy

For those of us who enjoy Star Wars, ThinkGeek has come out with a set of bookends to classily hold up your full collection of Star Wars, HG Wells, and Scott Adams books:

Star Wars Bookends

At a mere $120, these cleverly crafted bookends will provide years of conversation starting, causing your Star Wars DVDs to be fully depleted near the cantina scene, so stock up on those as well.

Ungique

November 13th, 2006 by Neal

New word:

UNGIQUE [YUNE-geek]

Still searching for the best definition. Potentials so far are:

  1. adj. A uniquely geeky in a positive way. “There is something particularly ungique about the way Frank can reconfigure his make files with only the numberpad.”
  2. adj. Strongly unique, or unique in a particularly way related to inner strength.

Thanks to Munsey for ‘creating’ this word.

Another word in progress, thanks to my sis:

LOUNDLY [laowndly]

Still looking for the definition there too.

Depression

October 10th, 2006 by Neal

Oh no, not another weblogger whining about his life sucks. Yup. Err… Nope.

Being depressed is a state of mind, and to be depressed is to let your circumstances get the better of you. When you’re depressed, the world wins. To me, this reveals a lack of character, integrity, and strength. These are three things that I should be demonstrating, rather than missing. That is why I feel like such crap when I get depressed. I’m such a loser.
:-P

Pedal your way to level 60

October 9th, 2006 by Neal

So this is an invention that I thought of in times past. It had run across my mind as I wondered how one could work at a job like mine and somehow stay fit. I’m enthralled that they’ve now implemented it, but probably won’t buy one anyway.

Joy

May 12th, 2006 by Neal

I asked God to teach me joy. Then I realized that joy is taught primarily through suffering. So now I”m bummed and excited at the same time.

Ps 34:8 – “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Arrested

March 28th, 2006 by Neal

One of my favorite shows, Arrested Development, is on the fritz. This is not new news by any means, but according to this article, one of the big men behind the show, Herwitz, doesn’t feel like keeping it going. Again, no giant surprise. The hilarity is in his blatant sell-out-ism with this comment:

“Of course, if there was enough money in it, I would have happily abandoned the fans’ need for quality. But as it turns out, there wasn’t,” he said.
