I had nearly given up on the delivery of the gift Matthew had warned about and didn’t want to have to wait untill
another day to get it, so I went online and saw what it was. (I had a hunch it was
flowers) I called the number only to get a busy signal over and over…then not
much after that, a woman called to ask if I would be home to accept the delivery. She said
“we have something for you..”  *Ding Dong* the doorbell rang a little later and I
accepted a very beautiful arrangement of different colored roses! They smell good.  I
love that they are all different colors! It makes me think of a rainbow.   I really feel special that Matthew did that for me.  

Now I just have to make sure to separate the cats and the flowers when I’m not around to
watch them both, because the cats like to chew on the flowers and leaves….stupid cats. 
I spray them till they are soaked every chance I get. Hahahahahhahaaaa!

I had a dream…at least I think it was a dream.  All I remember about it was the voice in my head saying: “Yeah! The best way to get good rest at night is to go to sleep for two to three minutes then wake up and then go back to sleep for two to three minutes then wake up…”.  Then I woke up and looked at the clock and it said 4:42 AM (three minutes before my alarm).  Still under the influence of sleep, I thought, “Oh great! I have three more minutes to sleep then I’ll be really rested”.  Let me tell you, it’s a lie.  I did not feel rested.  The best way to get the best rest is to get eight or more hours of non-stop, non-moving, non-aware, non-uncomfortable,  non-worried,  non-work-the-next-day, sleep.

Cadence does signs for “please” and “bye bye”.  we are working on “more” and all the rest.  I think she’ll pick them up really fast if I do them more.  Training children is so many hours…..so much consistency!  The first time I asked her to say please it took over an hour of her screaming for me to let her have her blanket.  now she does it even when she doesn’t need to.  we need a medium here.   Cadence is also getting a  better idea of speech.  She can just about say “doggy” “daddy” and “diaper”.  her latest phrase sounds like “oh way”.  She says it repetatively in a admiring tone. I don’t know what it means.  We’ve started playing more games besides peek a boo.  She enjoys carboard tube “binoculars” and carboard tube “voice modulators”.  She actually crawled up a whole flight of carpeted steps at my friends house before I knew she left the room!!! I was like “oh man! did you really just do that?”  our little dare devil.  I forgot to mention her completely normal fascination with unrolling the toilet paper. I only let her do it once and that is because I didnt’ know she was doing it.  Now she’s given up on the paper and has moved to banging on the toilet.  So now we keep the cover down.  I’m really getting into the fun stuff now.

I’m both disgusted and intriged by the roaches that infest our home.  Just tonight i went in the kitchen to get a glass of water and saw one run away.  This is a very normal reaction for a roach.  I laughed.  This time I had a caption in my head. i heard him saying “You can’t smash me if I run in a zig-zag and hide in the display of your microwave!!!!”. I don’t know.  That probably wasn’t the real caption I thought of at the time, but it’s kinda funny and I’ll leave it alone.
