Matthew Speaks About Rest
I had a dream…at least I think it was a dream. All I remember about it was the voice in my head saying: “Yeah! The best way to get good rest at night is to go to sleep for two to three minutes then wake up and then go back to sleep for two to three minutes then wake up…”. Then I woke up and looked at the clock and it said 4:42 AM (three minutes before my alarm). Still under the influence of sleep, I thought, “Oh great! I have three more minutes to sleep then I’ll be really rested”. Let me tell you, it’s a lie. I did not feel rested. The best way to get the best rest is to get eight or more hours of non-stop, non-moving, non-aware, non-uncomfortable, non-worried, non-work-the-next-day, sleep.
